StackCalc is an Excel based menu driven software package for the design of sanitary stack systems.

The programme allows the user to input the number of fixtures of each type on each floor for each sanitary stack in the building under study.

The programme uses Discharge Units as described in BS EN 12056 Code of Practice for sanitary pipework.

This programme makes it very easy to calculate drainage flows from individual sanitary stacks and branch drains for all building types from individual dwellings to hospitals. Macros make it very easy to add extra floors to individual stacks and add extra stacks to buildings.

The programme allows the user to size  both  ventilated and unventilated branch connections to sanitary stacks, based upon the building type and the connected fixture type. On selecting the pipe size and material the programme automatically provides the horizontal and vertical spacing of pipe supports.  

The programme automatically sizes stacks based upon the type and number of connected fixtures.

The programme provides stack testing data based upon the number and type of connected fixtures.

The programme allows the user to size the connecting branch drain at the base of the stack.
